Vision

With the people of Salford at its heart, the City’s transformation is guided by a Vision and Regeneration Framework, which was the direct result of extensive consultation with communities throughout Central Salford and has been agreed by all partners.


The Vision - to make Central Salford beautiful, vibrant and prosperous - can be summarised as:

  • revealing and exploiting natural and neglected assets, in particular the 'blue' and 'green' of the City's waterways and green spaces;
  • re-connecting communities and fragmented parts of the City;
  • significantly improving the quality of life for existing communities as well as potential new residents;
  • inspiring the confidence of 'quality' investors in specifically targeted transformation areas; and
  • creating an environment attractive to knowledge and innovation-based enterprises.
