About Us
The first Urban Regeneration Companies were established soon after Lord Rogers championed the concept in his “Urban Task Force” report.
In January 2005, the Government announced its intention to form an Urban Regeneration Company serving the City. Salford City Council, the Northwest Regional Development Agency and English Partnerships (now part of the Homes & Communities Agency) subsequently established the Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company and a world-class team of consultants was appointed to draw up a vision and regeneration framework, working with partners and the community.
